Yes, you can choose the day of the month that's most convenient for you to pay your power bill. We’ll send your bill to you 14 days before that date.
It’s simple to do — just head to our website and fill in our payment-date form to change the day of the month your payment is due.
You do need to clear any outstanding debts on your account though, and be set up to pay by direct debit or recurring credit-card payments.
Plus you can change the due date of your bill again at any time. Or contact us if you decide to switch back to being billed after you meter is read.
A few other things to keep in mind
If you pick the 29th, 30th, or 31st for your due date, your payment date may fall on the first day of the following month after short months that are 30 days or less.
If you pick a date between the 1st and 14th as your due date, we may push out your payment date by a few days in the month after a short month. This is due to billing system requirements.
The first bill you get after setting up your new due date may be higher than usual, if you had a bill due within 14 days of the new due date you picked. This is because your next bill now won’t be sent until the following month, when your new payment date starts. This means your billing period is slightly longer than usual, and your bill might be higher as a result, too.
